LATEST NEWS

Our next event is the PBFA London Summer Book Fair which is being held at the Holiday Inn in Bloomsbury on Sunday 19 May. This is timed to coincide with the last day of the ABA's 'Firsts' Book Fair, so why not spend the day in London and visit both fairs?

There is then a break until July when we go back to Hay on Wye for the second Hay on Wye Book Fair on 20 July 2024. It is held in the newly restored Hay Castle, a great venue.

This is closely followed by the PBFA/ABA Bath Book Fair which has now returned to the calendar after a few years' absence. It is to be held in the Pavilion, a delightful venue near the rugby ground and station, on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 July. It is a large fair with around 75 exhibitors - do come along!

We hope to issue a catalogue in advance of the London Summer Book Fair but in the meantime our catalogue for last September's York Book Fair is still available here. There are a few items still available so do get in touch if you are interested in anything.

Do take a look at our recent acquisitions! We have just listed a copy of the very rare 'Jailbird Jottings', Iris Parfitt's humorous and delightfully illustrated account of her internment in two Japanese camps during WW2, a full set of G Bramwell-Evens 'Romany' books in very good order in their dustwrappers and the 1924 British Empire Exhibition issue of 'Metro-land', with its map (which has usually been removed).

In addition to our attendance at book fairs, we have been concentrating on listing on ABE and eBay the many books & items of ephemera that we have acquired in recent months - click here for our latest acquisitions and here for our eBay current auctions.

We hope to see you soon but in the meantime good hunting!
